中文概述 Chinese Description	本課程將以時間為主軸，從浩瀚的海洋與分布於世界最廣的島嶼民族南島語族談起，始自人與人見面寒暄的用慣用語「請問貴姓？」帶來的文化差異與困窘檢視人與人族群與族群的互動關係，透過紀錄片與相關影像資料交錯討論，進入原住民多采多姿的的異文化世界，近而進行對「人觀」之思索，不同的族群與與傳統學而優則仕的讀書人價值觀對比，重新反省自身歷史文化的侷限與賦予對這塊土地的深刻關懷，從而達到21世紀強調公民文化權的基本人文素養，一方面突顯民主社會「尊重少數」的台灣歷史，一方面對於這塊土地的多樣性進行文化論述，以理解人的追求生活目標之過程與創造性價值。
英文概述 English  Description	This course will discuss indigenous society and culture across different historical periods. The cultural differences and awkwardness brought about by the common greeting 'May I ask your surname?' when people meet will be examined, scrutinizing the interaction between individuals and ethnic groups. Through the interplay of documentaries and relevant visual materials, we will delve into the diverse world of indigenous cultures, leading to contemplation on 'The Concept of the Person.' Contrasting the values of different ethnic groups with those of traditionally educated individuals who prioritize learning, we will reexamine the limitations of our own historical culture and cultivate a profound concern for this land. The goal is to achieve the fundamental humanistic qualities emphasized in the 21st century, emphasizing cultural rights for citizens.
