漢字演變源遠流長,影響華人文字、語詞使用,其演變典故亦有博大精深之奧妙。在臺灣,漢字教學之始大多以注音符號作為工具。以台灣學生為例,學生可以經由見字形、辨字音再到釋字義,並反覆練習、應用後習得。然而,中文的語音訊息及系統與拼音文字並不相同,所以非台灣籍學生無法快速以此方式於短時間內習得識字與閱讀技能。 所幸,「以形表義」是中文字的特性,特別是象形文字與會意文字在中文的形體上有大量的語意信息,這樣的特性正好可以讓學生循著語意路徑來親近中文。再加上形聲字能輔助學生拓展中文字、語詞量,加以正音技巧讓學生能夠加強漢字記憶及生活應用。

Description
The evolution of Chinese characters has a long history, and the profound allusions also affect Chinese characters and the use of words. In Taiwan, the Chinese character teaching mainly begins with phonetic symbols. Taking Taiwanese students as an example, students can learn by seeing the shape of a character, distinguishing the sound of a character, and then explaining the meaning of a character. However, non-Taiwanese students cannot quickly acquire literacy and reading skills in a short time with the Chinese phonetic system. Fortunately, "forms to express meaning" is a characteristic of Chinese characters. In particular, hieroglyphs have a large amount of semantic information. Students are able to acquire Chinese through this learning strategy. In addition, the phonograms can help students expand Chinese characters and words, and the orthoepical skills allow students to strengthen the memory of Chinese characters and their daily application.
