中文概述 Chinese Description	本課程設定為量化及質化研究方法入門，將介紹自然科學與社會科學研究的基本概念及常用的研究方法，並透過個人與小組的實際計畫操作，訓練學生發展研究計畫、撰寫研究報告的能力。修課同學應熟悉各種量化與質化研究方法的運用，了解題目設定、理論發展、文獻蒐集、及資料分析等過程，對既有量化與質化研究進行批判性地評估，並能進行獨立研究。
英文概述 English  Description	This course aims at introducing the basic research methods through individual and / or group assignments with the hope to train and enhance the graduate students’ abilities of how to develop research projects and write research reports. The students should be familiar with all kinds of qualitative and quantitative research methods, and understand the process of setting up research projects with topics, exploring/developing theories, collecting literature, and analyzing data. Also, the students should be able to criticize qualitative and quantitative research and conduct their own research independently.
